Description:
Students will make a tile mural in celebration of the school's 40th anniversary. Pieces of colored tile will be used to make the designs, similar to the mural currently hanging up by the science building. We will use grout to attach the pieces of tile onto a 3'x4' plank of wood, which will then be mounted onto a wall somewhere on campus. Students will design and sketch the mural on the first day, attach tiles on the second and third day, and mount the mural at the end of the third day. On presentation day, students will describe the process of making the mural and explain how it represents Chinquapin.
